Love? (Acoustic - Live in Leeds 2019)

Rock

And it all come, and together we enunciate words

Get your fucking lips wrapped around your sentiment, Townsend

And say with a serious tone of voice, "Eat all the dicks"

So what, what's, what's all the fuss about?

No answer immediately springs to mind so I just say again

I guess I'll just wait for the night to come

This love, it's about cont-, uhm, control

Do you wanna go home? Yeah, I kinda want to go home

But the thing is you get back there, it's the same fuckin' problem

And they think it's gonna be one thing and it's another thing

And then they're out here again, it's another problem

You think just the biggest thing is just a whinery, just like fuckin' complain

Because on some level it feeds the creative process

Oh you motherfucker, holy fuck, that sucks

So in 2009, I think it was when my son was born

But at that point I was trying to figure out like the whole strapping thing

'Cause I just quit the band and I was just like

"Oh my god that's part of my personality"

"That is personified in this type of music"

This is something that is clearly an aberration

And I gotta try and fix it because it's a problem within me

And at that point we were surrounded by Teletubbies and Boobahs

And like Mr. Blobby, that was the other one, right

But the whole time I was thinking, well okay how do I deal with this

So I thought, well clearly any rational human male

And then personify that part of his creative identity

In terms of a thing that you can then objectify and make fun of

And she was just like, "Yeah you might just not ever want to do this publicly"

This was the first song written from the Ziltoid first record
