I need you now, more than I needed you then, its been awhile but I still need my friend.

I've really been going through beat downs caught in a rut. at one point things got so bad I thought about giving up, seems like everything that was going good then turned around and now its all bad, all the things that use to pick me up just make me feel so sad

I tried I tried I tried I tried hanging out with the crowd but no one could hear my voice I guess the music was just too loud, I even try to drink and smoke and found out that that was just a joke cause too much wine makes me sick and the cigarettes just make me choke choke choke

My doctor said there's nothing wrong it's all in my head, my pastor said it's time to move on, you know that's the same thing my mama said, but I ain't listening to nobody else, cause I know what I need and I need you

I need you like like the flowers need to rain, I need you like like my blood need my vein I need you so much I don't know what to say, come on and see about me, you can't leave me this way
