The Warmest December

Rock

Twelve people, five rooms on the last floor

Urging the neighbors, changing the flavours

I wasn’t sure about it all, but George said that it’s gonna be OK

The show began when mr. Rust forgot his pass to the plane

It was Bob’s birthday and we had ‘bout 90 minutes

Then after fountains and another couple of hours in a car

We opened bourbon, probably the best I’ve ever had in a bar

And it was almost half past four The sun was knocking on our doors

The kids were sleeping in a bed, the sky was turning into red

But I’m still looking on these photographs

If I forget, how they tried to build a stage

And we were singing Hallelujah on that New Years night

While they were sending Chinese lanterns to the sky

Our wives will tell us, fireworks were amazing, never mind, we missed it all

Tomorrow we can celebrate the New Year one more time

If I forget those winter days when each of us was sick and tired

But it was still one of the best moments in our lives
